Directorate of Overseas Education

The Directorate of Overseas Education at the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government, through the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation, has been providing online Kurdish language courses for the diaspora since 2022. Up to mid-2025, three courses have been successfully conducted with the participation of 1,000 diaspora members from various countries around the world. Participants were awarded official certificates from the Ministry of Education.
Currently, the Ministry is preparing to launch the fourth course, which will begin on October 1, 2025. The lessons will be taught by qualified Kurdish language teachers in all three dialects: Sorani, Badini, and Kurmanji.
It is worth mentioning that in a classroom prepared for this purpose at (Barzani Namir Educational Complex), the lessons are broadcast online.
We call on all members of the Kurdish diaspora to consider this a national and educational responsibility and to seize this opportunity by registering your children of all ages and levels. Your commitment to the sweet mother tongue, Kurdish, is a duty in preserving our national identity.
