May the Kurdish traditional dress forever remain a symbol of our identity, resilience, and pride

My traditional Kurdish attire holds as much weight and importance as my nation’s flag. It carries the history of my forefathers, passed down through generations.
In times of joy, in moments of dance, and on the shoulders of our young men and women, it shines with pride.
Through spring and Newroz, it takes on the colors of snowy mountains, lush green fields, and the soft beauty of blooming wildflowers.
From Rojava to the farthest corners of Eastern Kurdistan, it stands as a symbol.
In battle, on the backs of our Peshmerga, it glows like the stars.
During the Anfal genocide, it became the red flowers that now grow over the resting places of our fallen heroes.
In the chemical attack on Halabja, it carried the sorrow of a people but also made the world recognize the Kurdish struggle.

May the Kurdish traditional dress forever remain a symbol of our identity, resilience, and pride.
